The phrase the million dollar question is used in colloquial speech in many parts of the English speaking world. The use of the idiom emphasizes that the question being asked is a crucial one.
She asks the question...what the f@ck am I doing here?
Perhaps in complaint, perhaps in jest, perhaps for a million reasons in between.
Either way, I find myself asking my self this every once in a while, and sometimes every day in a row for days straight. It's never a negative question. in fact, I find answering it for my self, its quite a good memory jogger most of the time.
Feel free to try it or not at your leisure.
