Sun Halo - Science, Theories and Perspectives

Light interacting with its surroundings is a curiosity, a fascination and the primary ingredient in liquid light photography. Additionally it has a variety of meanings and interpretations in traditions and cultures through the ages.

Here's some cool information about the science behind the light and ice crystals intermingling from earthsky.org

"The halos you see are caused by both refraction, or splitting of light, and also by reflection, or glints of light from these ice crystals. The crystals have to be oriented and positioned just so with respect to your eye, in order for the halo to appear.

That’s why, like rainbows, halos around the sun – or moon – are personal. Everyone sees their own particular halo, made by their own particular ice crystals, which are different from the ice crystals making the halo of the person standing next to you".

Then there is “The Whirling Rainbow – Prophecy about a humanity honoring and respecting each other.

"Although science is able to explain very well the mechanisms through which such phenomena appear, the chain of atmospheric events which lead to the alignment of the clouds filled with ice particles with the light of the sun in a perfect configuration remains a profound mystery. Although science tells us how, it cannot tell us why. When trying to explain the phenomenon we forget to explain the most significant of all the facts and this is the perfect synchronization between the human actions and cosmic events."

What I like about All of these interpretations is that NONE of them involve any group of human beings being more correct, being more worthy, be in charge of others decisions, choices or know better for anyone else and none of them involve fearing God whatsoever, they are more about LOVE.

Turns out the forecast in the area of the world I'm in presently is RAIN for tomorrow which makes sense scientifically and probably means I'll be in the "indoor office' most of the day working on the marketing side of earning a living through Liquid Light Photography bringing the science of water, light and reflections into your home or living space and earning my living on sale at a time.
