Are we all individual energy systems with contrasts and contradictions with capacity to compliment?

Sometimes can the the compliment be in the contradiction resulting in variety, experiences, and expansion?

Complementarity: The idea in quantum theory that items can be separately analyzed as having several contradictory, and apparently mutually exclusive, properties. For example, the wave-particle duality of light, where light can either behave as a particle or as wave, but not simultaneously as both.
